We are a family-owned company based in Argenbühl-Eglofs in the western Allgäu region of southern Germany. On more than 6,000 square meters of production area, PROAIR GmbH develops and produces its main product, the DELPHIN. This is a multifunctional and sustainably conceived air and surface cleaning device that uses water to wash viruses out of the room air, among other things.

 

The multiple award-winning household appliance DELPHIN  is characterized not only by high cleaning quality and versatile application possibilities, but above all by its durability.

The idea of the air cleaning appliance DELPHIN was developed by Helmut Grassinger in 1988. Since the foundation of the company in 1993, PROAIR GmbH has been pursuing the goal to increase the everyday quality of life in indoor rooms with the help of the DELPHIN and comprehensive accessories and thus to promote health and well-being - in private as well as in professional surroundings. Meanwhile, PROAIR is an internationally active, medium-sized industrial specialist with currently 34 employees. Today, the company is managed by Bernhard Grassinger in the second generation.

TOP 100 is an independent award for innovation management in Germany. Two questions are central to the TOP 100 assessment: Are the innovations in the company a product of chance or the result of a systematic approach? And how successfully are ideas transformed into market successes?

PROAIR is constantly developing - especially in technology and product design. And this was also rewarded by the TOP100 jury: In the 29th round of this competition, the TOP 100 seal 2022 was awarded to PROAIR GmbH. This is a special award for PROAIR GmbH, because it is not easy to get into the TOP 100.

Our dealers and country representatives together with their dedicated teams have spread the DELPHIN internationally - currently in 42 countries - and made it a real world brand. Our sales partners are supported by our employees in our South Germany headquarters in Argenbühl-Eglofs.

Because the know-how, attitude and motivation of our employees are reflected in the quality of our products and services, we consistently invest in good training and further education.

Our sustainability motto is: long-lasting quality - less waste. Contrary to the trend to rather sell new than repair, the DELPHIN and all accessories are repaired again, if necessary, even after years of use. Even for older models, we always have spare parts in stock. And if an appliance or individual components have to be disposed of after many years of hard use, we take care of a conscientious material separation and recycling possibilities before disposal. For example, heat sinks are removed from the electronics and motors are dismantled.

Through the multiple use of foils and cardboard packaging in production, we reduce the amount of waste considerably. Only as much packaging material as necessary is used for shipping.

We keep delivery routes as short as possible. That is why we source almost all products from suppliers in Germany.

All buildings at the headquarters with production in Argenbühl-Eglofs are operated with energy-saving LED lights. The modern infrared heating system saves 40% compared to conventional heating systems. In addition, we operate photovoltaic systems with an output of 1.3 MW, which provide us with energy directly from the sun.

At our location in Argenbühl-Eglofs, you can feel the positive energy that the building exudes. Our administrative complex is an energy-efficient building in solid wood construction with passive house components. It was planned by the architects Herz & Lang according to Feng Shui principles. The aim of this Far Eastern teaching is to harmonise people with their environment. The working and living spaces were designed to promote the well-being, health and productivity of PROAIR‘s employees. The basic shape of the building is a quarter circle - an architectural connection to the round construction form and the motor rotation of our worldwide sold water vacuum cleaner DELPHIN, our main product. The whole area at PROAIR with its fan-like arrangement corresponds to the click-lamella, the patented heart of the DELPHIN. There are almost no corners, everything is round and harmonious.

Even the parking spaces nestle into the round shape. During the redesign, everything was revised in terms of design and organisation. Offices were made larger, more beautiful and more functional, and the paths were shortened and optimised. Everything was designed in such a way that the employees feel more comfortable and can concentrate fully on looking after dealers and customers.
